These Covid-19 guidelines have been set out based on the Government Guidelines as well as guidance provided by PACT.
General Precautions
All employees must keep up to date and follow essential Government guidelines at all times, as published on the gov.uk website. Everyone is encouraged to regularly wash their hands for at least 20 seconds using soap and water regularly and hand sanitiser will be supplied on shoots to be used before and after use of equipment, access and egress of property/cars and any other items.
Whilst on a shoot, social distancing measures will be followed and everyone should attempt to keep at least 1m apart, 2m where possible. Masks should be worn if filming inside and are optional when outside.
If any employee develops symptoms of Covid-19 they must not attend any shoot and remain at home in self isolation. If such symptoms are developed whilst on a shoot, they must go home and inform their line manager so appropriate actions can be taken with regards any contact they have had with other people so they can be responsibly informed.
All production schedules should allow extra time for Covid-19 precautions, we will not tolerate precautions not being followed. Extra attention is to be given to obtaining up to date contact details for each crew member as well as their next of kin ahead of any shoot.
Where possible we will look to limit the number of crew on any shoot. We will not allow any spectators and will avoid shooting in areas with public wherever possible. We will try to keep to a set crew who will work together to keep as isolated from further external bodies as possible.
We must all work together and feedback any shortfalls, successes and learnings from our risk assessments to ensure our processes remain as effective as possible.
Travel
Where possible we will try to minimise travel as much as possible. We will look to keep shoots local where we can and continue to use our core local crew to minimise the amount of travel.
All crew will avoid the use of public transport where possible. Please contact a Director if you believe you need to use public transport to see if an alternative can be arranged. If not, PPE must be worn for the duration of the use of public transport and hands to be washed thoroughly before and after travel and prior to any contact with the rest of the crew.
It is preferred crew use single occupancy vehicles where possible. Where it is not, crew should wear face masks, open windows slightly for ventilation and carefully consider seating placement within the vehicle.
We often need to film vehicles, this requires crew entering and using vehicles. Where vehicles are used for a production, touch points must be sanitised before and after use whenever anyone new gets in.
Locations
Outdoor filming is always preferable, ideally not in a public space. If filming indoors, try to use a larger open space with good ventilation and minimise the number of people indoors.
When filming in a household, such as for Real Estate, keep the number of crew to a minimum at all times, never more than 2 people. Crew should wear PPE including masks and gloves and filming equipment should be sanitised before entering and after leaving the property. Crew should avoid making contact with surfaces in the home, where any surfaces have had contact, these should be sanitised.
Social distancing should be followed at all times inside or outdoors. Always attempt to leave 2m distance where possible and never less than 1m. When indoors, try to keep at least 2m squared from anyone.
Equipment
Where possible, crew should try to use dedicated work equipment. Where equipment does need to be shared, take extra care to ensure you are sanitising equipment before and after use.
Where possible, to avoid further hazards and contact, equipment will be battery operated to avoid the need to connect to any power source on site.
All Production units will be equipped with a kit that includes:
- Face Masks
- Disposable Gloves
- Shoe Covers
- Hand Sanitiser
